SHOWING A DIFFERENT SIDE OF DRAYMOND GREEN TO LAUNCH META’S FIRST ORIGINAL CONTENT SERIES

While Draymond is known for his defense, this project was about me playing offense. To promote Meta’s first original series called Open Season, which features Draymond in therapy opening up about his vulnerabilities, I proactively sold in a concept for social teaser content.

The idea was simple: put a therapist’s couch in the middle of a gritty court in San Francisco, and layer in quotes from his therapy sessions. The intent was to keep it cryptic, leaning into moody, noirish lighting that leads to a reveal at the end when he emerges from the shadows.

I created the concept, directed the DP on set to ensure we got the lighting right, and wrote the supers and YouTube copy.

Draymond loved the concept on set, commenting that that lighting “was fire.” And right before Meta Connect, he posted the teaser on Instagram to his 4 million followers.
